SAVE SOCIAL SECURITY NOW!
CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES IN CONGRESS NOW!

SAVE SOCIAL SECURITY! CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES IN CONGRESS NOW! TELL THEM THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT SOCIAL SECURITY IS IN SERIOUS PERIL AS PRESIDENT BUSH CLAIMS. BUSH USED THE SAME TACTICS TO SELL AMERICA ON THE WAR IN IRAQ & THERE ARE NO WMDS. SO IS THIS ANOTHER DECEPTION AND LIE THAT AMERICANS ARE BEING FED BY THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION? IT SEEMS TO BE THE CASE. ELECT THOSE WHO VOTE FOR BUSH'S SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME OUT OF OFFICE IN THE 2006 MID-TERM ELECTIONS AND DO NOT ALLOW THE GOVERNMENT TO TOUCH THAT SS TRUST FUND MONEY WHICH IS NOT THE MONEY OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION OR ITS PROPAGANDISTS OUT THERE SELLING & TELLING LIES. ACT NOW!

"Nonviolence is the answer to the crucial political and moral questions of our time: the need for man to overcome oppression and violence without resorting to oppression and violence. Man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love."--Martin Luther King, Jr., Nobel Prize acceptance speech, Stockholm, Sweden, December 11, 1964.

Congress Pass Bill Authorizing Unilateral War for "King" Bush

By Moondustgypsy1

October 10, 2002

This was the vote taken by the House of Representatives on October 10, 2002 that allowed President Bush to along with the Senate in a joint resolution to authorize Bush and the Department of Defense to engage in a military struggle with the Sovereign State of Iraq. Bush and the Congress all claimed that American national security was in direct danger of being struck with chemical, biological or nuclear weapons, the east of the worries being the potential of germ warfare, Thus, this authorization solidified Bush’s rush to use war against Iraq while also being able to bring this bill to the United Nations as an intimidation tactic telling the world the United States is now going alone in all matters that involves the use of military force whenever he feels its necessary and justified to do so. Bush argued that the UN Security Council resolutions with Iraq were not being upheld to the highest standards of agreement that was bargained with the cease-fire in 1991. This resolution assured that President Bush would under law “be required to report to Congress, no later than 48 hours after using force, his determination that diplomacy or other peaceful means would not ensure U.S. national security against Iraq or allow enforcement of U.N. resolutions and that using force is consistent with anti-terrorism efforts. The resolution also states that it would give specific statutory authorization under the War Powers Resolution. The president also would be required to report to Congress every 60 days on actions relevant to the resolution.” (1)
